MESSAGE FROM Health Coaches Australia & New Zealand Association (HCANZA)

In August 2023 the HCANZA Conference focus is on “Driving Positive Change: Harnessing Value through Community Collaboration and Coaching.”

We invite you to inspire, innovate, and expand the possibilities by sharing your knowledge, perspectives, or experiences contributing to this unique forum and shaping the growth and effectiveness of the health & wellness coaching in the region.

We very much look forward to receiving your abstracts and your continued support and interest in HCANZA.

Conference Theme and Focus Areas

In 2023, our conference theme is "Driving Positive Change: Harnessing Value through Community Collaboration and Coaching." As recognized by both the United Nations and HCANZA’s stated mission, health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of physical, emotional, and social well-being [1].

It is essential to promote a proactive approach to health that empowers individuals and communities to take command for their well-being by adopting healthy lifestyle habits that can reduce the risk of chronic diseases and improve overall quality of life.

Health and wellness coaching models support a patient/client-centred approach that considers the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of each individual, with the goal of extending "wellness wisdom" to improve practical implementation within communities, businesses, and other spheres of influence. At our 2023 conference, we will explore how coaches, businesses, and community leaders can inspire and empower individuals to achieve health self-actualization, leading to an improved quality of life.
